Summary: Mike swings his feet down onto the floor and slides past Kevin in the doorway. It's too close, and Kevin can't help the way his eyes sweep over Mike's form. Mike's eyes crinkle at the edges, and then he's gone.

One of my bingo squares is Regency romance. I wrote most of the story, but never quite finished it (although the missing parts are in the middle, so it does have an ending). I also never quite got all of the Regency stuff down, so historical/fake historical details and address may be all wrong.

I've seen a couple of different WIP posts/memes floating about, and I love both reading and doing those. This is bits from everything I think I might actually write more of or finish editing, except the Leighton/Vicky-T, which I still might finish for bandombigbang and so can't be shared elsewhere. There are a lot of things I don't think I'm going to write more of, and if you all will help me remember, I'll do some snippet/plot bunny posts this weekend. (You'll notice there are no Mike/Kevin bingo squares in here. I don't think I'm ever going to finish any of those. I'll eventually post them as never finished fic instead.)

I had to retrieve one of these and a couple of things for the plot bunny posts from Twitter, where I also found that I'd said this: "Description of my Twitter habits: Sometimes I write kinky sex. And then sometimes I interrupt the kinky sex to write different kinky sex." So true!

Master Post - Part 1

The story behind this story is that last August skoosiepants posted a prompt for a story wherein Mike and Kevin meet on Halloween when Pete has assigned Mike to dress in drag. I wrote a beginning, and then I kept writing. And writing and writing and writing. And eventually I reached a place where I didn't really want to be working on this anymore, and it does have an ending that more or less works as an ending. To be a real story, it would need some editing and possibly another 30,000 words. Sadly, this is not going to happen, but I still love much of it and you might enjoy it.

Thanks are due to eleanor_lavish, sunk_the_glow, lakeeffectgirl, and mayqueen517, who let me add them to the Google Doc so I would feel responsible to someone and who left me entertaining and helpful comments. I've been working on this for a long time, so there may have been other people who were also helpful in ways I've since forgotten about. You have my thanks too.

Or maybe there's like, some kind of quota for number of crazy things a person has to do in his life, and fate's just helping him along. But probably, probably it's just Joe's fault.

sodamnskippy is playing bingo. It has no rules and no timelines, so I signed up. Part of why I signed up is that I want to write something different, and I want to write something shorter, so I'm also giving myself a self-imposed maximum of 2000 words per story. I don't know when I might write all of these (I already have the beginning of something that will fit one of them, I plotted out a second yesterday and today, and I maybe have an idea for the beginning of a third), but if I write an average of one a month, I'll fill the card by the end of the year. We'll see. I will come back and link stories as I write them.
