Movies that start with the letter U.

A couple of weeks ago, we saw Underworld: Evolution. You have to understand that I loved Underworld. Underworld: Evolution is a huge disappointment. I liked that it picked up right after the previous movie rather than being months or years later, but the unending flashbacks to the previous movie got old quickly. Overall it just lacked the magic of the first one. I was also a little disappointed that at the end she can stand sunlight; I expected her to be pregnant.
It seems like there was something else I liked about the movie, but I can't think of what it was. This is quite possibly because I felt like I couldn't enjoy the things I enjoyed when we actually went to see it. Here's an idea: If you didn't like the first movie, don't go see the sequel.
Today's movie was Ultraviolet. It was bad. Horrible. Awful. Terrible. If you really need me to, I can come up with some other synonyms.
Everyone in it, or most of the people anyway, most of the time, looks like an animation. Why not just animate it?
The plot is way too similar to Aeon Flux. Clones, plague, ruling guy, blah, blah, blah.
And then there's the ruling guy: Ferdinand. Yes, Ferdinand. He works at the ArchMinistry. Am I the only one thinking World War I?
And let's talk a bit about the fighting. Bad guy and a whole bunch of soldiers. Bad guy out in front of the whole bunch of soldiers. Does she shoot the bad guy? No. Instead she kills all the soldiers. This makes no sense. They eventually do have a showdown in which, again, she doesn't shoot him. They fight with swords. Swords that inexplicably start burning.
There is one good thing about the movie: the creepy Violet/Six (played by Cameron Bright) vibe at the end made me bump Birth up to the top of my Netflix queue. (Technically The Young Riders is at the top, but it's not out yet, and for some odd reason Netflix lists it as a four-disc series consisting of discs 2, 3, 4, and 5, none of which contain the first six episodes.)
