If you've only seen it once, you should definitely go see Serenity a second time. It is both funnier and more heartbreaking the second time around.

River on Miranda made me tear up and gave me the chills. Wash's leaf on the wind flying had me gripping my hands together so hard it hurt.

I still love the relationship bits. When Jayne brings up the war, Inara puts her hand on Kaylee's shoulder. Kaylee saying, "Tell that to Inara" still stings on Mal's behalf. Zoe's grief is so beautifully played.

And then, of course, there's the Mal/River. Which, once you're thinking about it, you can see from the very start, when he calls her both "little one" and "darlin'." You can see it in the look on his face when he picks her up off the floor of the bar. And, of course, you can still see it when they're the only ones standing. I think that's my favorite shot of the whole movie.

finally saw the damn thing...

Man, I could never understand River/Mal in the series but, wow. It really was all over this movie. I like it.

I still can't believe Joss killed off Wash. That's like killing a puppy.

I think my favorite scenes are still Serenity-as-reaver-ship. Whoo.

I actually bought Simon as a heterosexual in the movie. Who'da thunk it?
