rsadelleI've talked a lot about how there should be D/s AU fic where Mike is a sub. I never actually wrote this story, but it would be something like five Kings who took care of Mike on a temporary basis plus one who was permanent. (This was going to be a multi-pov story where each part was from the not-Mike person's pov.) Jeff is obviously the +1. Some noodling about the other five:
Quick - takes care of him by figuring it out and taking him home to Jaclyn, who is his dom.
Brown - asks Mike about it and arranges it so he has people he can ask for what he needs. Also:
"Does Dean know?"
Mike shrugs. "Maybe. I don't know what he heard from Philly."
"I think you should tell him." Dustin squeezes the back of Mike's neck, more to settle him than as a command. "You don't have to. He's a good guy. It won't be a problem."
Kopitar - takes really good care of Mike when it's his turn, and also:
"Do you need to check in with someone?" Anze asks when he notices Mike looking at their phones on the nightstand.
"No," Mike says, that voice of his that almost has a hint of a whine in it. "I don't need to."
"But you want to," Anze surmises. They all know Mike has a dom out there somewhere, but despite some guesses, no one knows for sure who it is. "Are you going to be okay if I leave you in here alone?"
"Yes," Mike says, almost turning it into a question.
Anze nuzzles at Mike's temple. "I'm going to take Gustl for a quick walk around the block and then I'll be downstairs. Text me when you're done."
It's about twenty minutes before Mike texts him, and then Anze calls Gustl to him and heads up the stairs. Mike looks even more blissed out than he did when Anze left. He's already half asleep, just awake enough to smile at Anze and rub at Gustl's back when he climbs into bed with Mike.
Lewis, probably - takes care of Mike on the road, especially during the Grammys-vacating trip.
I don't know who the fifth one would be. (And also having Quick and Brown be the first two makes me want to make some sort of implied quick brown fox lazy dog joke.)
Later conversation suggested Willie Mitchell as the fifth one, because he and Mike hit it off when Mike first came to LA. If I'd written the story, it probably would have been Willie and Megan Mitchell (both doms, both switches, or one of them a dom and one of them a switch) domming Mike. The scene I would have written for this would have been Mike trusting them with knowing Jeff is his dom, and them putting Jeff on speaker so he can be part of it while they take care of Mike.
