I was visiting my grandparents in Fresno this weekend, so Brad and I went to see Suspect Zero tonight.

The movie is very, very good. The pacing works. The cinematography draws you into the characters' world. The acting is superb. The directing is just right.

The only scene that doesn't work is the one with the professor of criminal biology. There's something the professor says or asks that doesn't make sense--it's something he should already know. When he says, "suspect zero," and Tom repeats it, it almost seemed like a setup for a comedy sketch. Brad also pointed out that the professor didn't look right for the part.

I didn't recognize Carrie-Anne Moss, and I couldn't remember who the woman in it was, although I remembered from the preview that it was a big name. I didn't see the last two Matrix movies, but I saw the first one. The moment Carrie-Anne Moss appeared, I thought, "Forget Keanu, who is she?" To this day, I believe the best thing about that highly overrated movie is Carrie-Anne Moss in leather.
