I saw that, and was SO sad this morning. it's not a surprise, because it makes sense and as Danny said, hockey is a business, but personally I can't help but grieve a bit

In the Harlequin novel/sports movie/happy ending version of reality, Danny plays somewhere else for two years and then comes back to win the Cup with Claude/the Flyers before he retires.
