First lines from the last twenty-one stories posted to AO3. (The original meme says last twenty-one stories written, which this is not since this covers some of the much older things I finally got around to posting in December.)

"Not this year, but next summer-" Segs says on the phone one afternoon, because he's always already thinking ahead.

Jeff's been hanging out with the Staals ever since his family moved to Thunder Bay when he was ten.

Tyler has a habit of napping on the chaise longue.

Everything goes to shit after the lockout.

Tyler loses at credit card roulette out to lunch with some of the boys.

It hurts like, well, Tyler doesn't know what it hurts like because nothing else has ever hurt like this.

Eric realizes later that Jordan was probably giving him looks for a while and he just didn't notice it.

Tyler puts his phone on the nightstand and very carefully drapes his clothes over the chair.

Sid's fast, faster than he's ever been before.

They have sex.

Victoria wakes up to a pair of phone alarms buzzing just out of sync.

She doesn't just appear on the doorstep.

The glass elevator lets him see Donna on the couch with her feet up and a glass of wine in her hand before the doors open.

The guy who wanders into Greta's sweet shop has actual sunglasses pushed up onto his head and a beard that hides his mouth until he smiles at her.

John stays with Harry for a few days, on the couch at Greg's new flat, at a cheap hotel.

It only happened once, when they were still learning to live together, still getting used to sharing the same space.

"Molly," John says when that turns out to be who's at their door.

Jeff wakes up slowly from his nap.

Claude's been getting updates on the whole situation from Hartsy along the way, so it's not a surprise when he gets a text that says, "Baby's here."

Tyler gets hit in a game early in the season, goes down wrong, and it's his knee.

"Now, this," Moriarty calls across the room, "this is fun!"

I wasn't sure what to expect out of this meme, but it is fascinating to look at all of these laid out in a list. I don't know if there are themes here, but what I notice is how much I like to set up the entire situation in that first line.
