Let's all take a moment to look at Danny Briere.

The picspam content of this post is entirely repeated from my Tumblr, although the commentary is mostly new, so don't be disappointed if you've seen it all before. Also, I have no explanation for why Danny Briere is my favorite hockey player at the moment. He just is.

This video is terrible as an interview (it's boring and the sound quality is not very good), but it's fantastic if you want to just look at Danny Briere. (Side note: I seem to be incapable of referring to him by anything other than his full name.)

The jeans and t-shirt and his jawline and the way he's standing with his hands on his hips.

The day I first saw this picture, I kept it open in a tab and couldn't stop staring at it.



This is originally from the Flyers website, where the caption says this is him before a game. I want to know (a) all about his pre-game rituals and (b) what he listens to. (Every time we see him traveling on 24/7, he has his earbuds in. [Side note: I'm three-fourths of the way through the series, and the question I keep asking is, "Why is this not a Danny Briere documentary?"])



Yes, that's Danny Briere with David Boreanaz. Boreanaz is apparently a huge Flyers fan (the entirety of his Twitter bio is "Go Flyers"), and this is from the time he went skating with them. (I would read any and all crossovers.)



This is not a great picture of anyone, but it's in my top four because Danny Briere is wearing Claude Giroux's shirt (note the 28 - Giroux's number - on his sleeve). Canonical clothes sharing! I can't handle this.


And speaking of looking at Danny Briere, does anyone have a good source for high resolution photos of hockey players when they're not playing hockey? It's time for new desktop wallpaper, and I have two monitors to cover (resolution of one is 800x600; the other is 1360x768). I would also consider fan-made wallpaper, if I can find something I like.

of *course* you like Danny, he's awesome! that shot of him alone in those red seats immediately caught my attention, and I fell even more in love at the sight of him in Claude's shirt. canonical clothes sharing FTW!!

That shot of him alone in the stands is so arresting. It's a fantastic photo, and if I had a version of it that was much bigger, I would make it the background for my TV. (It gets fuzzy if I make it that big, and the movement of the photo to the left is the wrong direction for it to be the background of my computer monitor.)

I can't even handle the canonical clothes sharing. It's like my current desktop photo of Brendon laying his head on Spencer's shoulder: the kind of thing about which we think, "This stuff we imagine them doing is all fictional," until they actually do it in real life.

Also regarding Danny's looks: lakeeffectgirl and I had an extensive conversation about how incredibly gorgeous girl!Danny would be.

I actually set that shot of him in the stands as my work desktop - it's fabulous, and I was ready for a change anyway.

I hadn't really thought much about it, but girl!Danny is *exactly* my type. now I'm making little humina noises at the thought *g*

Claude would make friends with her mostly because they both speak French, but also a little because he likes looking at her.
