Afternoon/Evening/Weekend Comment Party!

It's looking like a slow afternoon at work (if I haven't jinxed it by saying so), and I have no plans for the evening or weekend (beyond a little errand running), so let's comment party! You can even par-tay, if you feel so inclined. The ending of H50 did have an awesome reveal [SO VERY CALLED BY EVERY FANGIRL EVER], but if they killed either of those female characters (should I have spoiler warnings here for other people?) I will NEVER WATCH THE SHOW AGAIN.

I have certain FEELINGS about finales, including the ones you haven't watched yet. In fact, be warned that there is a little bit of a rage blackout in one of the emails I sent you last night. Sorry about that. I shouldn't take my producer anger out on you.

BTW, since you are planless: any interest in seeing Dark Shadows this weekend?

I was just so glad they actually went there! I also liked the way they managed to avoid casting until next fall. And, yeah, I figured something was going to happen to Malia once we saw her in the ep. Chin made a good choice, though. Chances were always good that both of them were going to be dead, but if they weren't, Kono's more likely to be able to save herself.

AHAHAHA! I saw your rage blackout! It's part of why I started with Scandal. (Also, I can handle stopping in the middle of that but not Grey's.)

I guess if Malia dies I will cope (I fully expected she would after she and Chin got married--that's the only reason I think the producers let them get married in the first place), but KONO! (Normally I wouldn't worry about a central cast member, but there have always been these rumors about Grace Park wanting to live closer to her family). I agree with you about Kono being more able to save herself, though. And she is a surfer, so I expect she has good lung capacity.

Was the Scandal finale worth watching? I thought about watching it live last night, but I still haven't decided if I want to watch last week's episode first or not, so I was saving it. (Also I had to watch both Revenge and Once Upon a Time online, since I've been chock-a-block with mandatory evening social events this week).

I'd kind of like to go see Dark Shadows Sunday if that works for you, since that leaves tomorrow for errand-running on the bus. There are shows at 11:15, 12:40, 1:55, 3:20, 4:40 and 6:05. Maybe we should go earlier to avoid the eclipse? (Is it safe to be outside during the eclipse if you don't look at the sun? The accidental blindness thing freaks me out, honestly).

Yeah, I expect that the ep opening with Kono surfing was supposed to clue us in to the fact that she can handle the water.

I don't know yet! I watched about half of it at lunch, but I will come back and let you know when I get all the way through it. (It looks like we might be getting Quinn's story, but I wouldn't put it past them to not solve that mystery so they can tease it through to next season.)

Sunday would be fine. Do you want to do lunch? We could do lunch and the 1:55, maybe. (It's fine as long as you don't look at it.)

I had a moment thinking "what, there will be solar eclipse traffic?" when I realized you were talking about graduation. And hmm, depending on how long the name-reading lasts it might be all gone by noon or it might linger until one-ish. I will send you logistical info by email.

Ugh. There's a fantastic scene with the First Lady about halfway through the ep, and a reveal at the end that's good to know, but I was right that they're teasing Quinn's identity through to next season. If you don't watch it, I will give you the recap on Sunday.

Someone who isn't me should tell you the story of how Eric and Tanya let Jeff stay with them and they all three do a thousand couple-y things together but never have to talk about it until the day Jeff comes into their room and says that either they're going to take him to bed, or he's going to move out, because this is just nuts.

Obviously he waits until the kids are asleep. It's not like they don't already treat him like their dad anyway, but he doesn't want them witnessing it if goes bad and if it goes well, well, he really wants to get laid and the kids being around would keep it to no more kissing.

(I was going to tell you some of the coupley things, but I couldn't think of anything I hadn't already used for the Kane/Sharps story.)
