The State of My Writing Life (Plus a Meme)

If, in your reading of big bang summaries, you idly wondered which one was mine, you can stop wondering; none of them are. I probably could have finished the Leighton/Vicky-T story for it, but the mods declared the pairing unallowable (maybe bandgirlsbang will happen, and I can finish it for that this year), and the other thing I was working on that will be long enough when it's done still doesn't have an ending. So since I'm not putting energy into watching the claiming post - and there's no need to even pretend to secrecy - I thought I would do that meme where I tell you the name of my in-progress Google docs (in this case that means things I am still working on or things I have the intention to work on again). Comment asking about one of them, and I will tell you something about the story or post a line or two from it. Items in parentheses are actually part of the doc title.

I'm really disappointed the mods didn't allow that pairing. I hope you're going to write/post it anyway because it's a great pairing. If it's the Vice Cops in Love one that makes it even more shiny and awesome sounding.

I'm disappointed too, but I will finish the story eventually! It is the Lesbian Vice Cops In Love story, and I've been working on it for over a year, so I have no intention of abandoning it now.

what's the girl!Tom/Sean story? I'm especially interested in the dynamics of the past Tom/Mike when Tom is a girl.

And, of course, accidental marriage is always something I'll try reading

I would love to see someone tackle that in a more reality-based way! In my story, Mike is very much an unquestioned villain, and I'm not sure if I'm doing a good enough job with the gender politics. Bit from the story:
Bill pulls Mike back at the same time Sean steps forward, sliding between Tom and Mike and wishing he had Danielle here for backup, because he's adding two to the four he's already come up with and, oh, fuck, does he not like that six.

I love the accidental marriage story! And I recently accidentally figured out how to fix the biggest flaw in it, so I might actually edit and post it someday. Bit from the story:
Victoria sits back down and stares at YouTube's share-replay-related videos options overlaying the last image of them kissing. She's starting to remember bits of it, like Gabe's hands on her ass and looking at rings and a really sloppy blowjob.
