H50: And Now I'm Caught Up

rsadelleI am now entirely caught up on Hawaii Five-0. Yes, that's right, in a mere eight days of watching every spare moment, I have zoomed through twenty-three episodes. Let's talk about that last one.

eleanor_lavish's (friends locked) reaction post on Tuesday (I don't at all care about being spoiled for this show), so I knew that Steve goes to pick Grace up at school. I did not know that it further extends into Steve and Danny actually co-parenting as they discuss arrangements for Grace while Danny's in the hospital and Stan and Rachel are out of town.
Also, I don't know why I'm reading fan fic when the show basically does all the work for you. I fully expect next season to include an actual undercover in a gay bar episode.
Three stories I want:
1. Whatever the het version of smarm is (is there a term for that?) about Chin and Kono. Cuddling, people, I want cuddling and hugs and possibly comfort food and/or surfing.
2. A story where Steve and Danny start sleeping together from the very start and don't realize they're in a relationship until much later.
3. The one where they're all poly: Danny and Rachel are remembering what worked about their relationship, but they realize that they don't work when they're full-time and Danny is practically married to Steve anyway. Steve, meanwhile, has his arrangement with Catherine and possibly also some really hot, frantic sex with Jenna. Danny and Kono also hook up sometimes. I don't know what/who Chin would be doing in this story.

Date: 2011-05-15 11:52 am (UTC)This is one of the few shows where I am honestly surprised at the amount of fanfic, because you are TOTALLY RIGHT - though I suppose it really does fit in my thesis about how shows that are not really perfectly written tend to have more fic than shows that are? IDK IDK BUT I LOVE IT.
Though, honestly, I am loving AUs in this fandom most of all because I really DO think the show has done it all already. I don't need to read about them dating because I CAN WATCH THEM DATING ON MY TV. This is one time I am REALLY excited about hiatus - more long, plotty fics pls!
