The Fangirl's Eternal Lament: Version Nick/Tyson

The fangirl's eternal lament is, "Why isn't there more fic about X?" Recently, for me, X equals Nick and Tyson. There is a whole five-part primer that starts here, so I'll restrain myself to four items:

1. Nick is two years older than Tyson. They've known each other since they were teenagers. Nick dropped out of college in part because he missed Tyson.

Those are two photos of the same kiss from different angles, one from Nick's Twitter and one from Tyson's, for New Year's Eve 2009.

That's a more recent photo. Nick and Tyson aren't looking at anything other but each other.

4. Tyson's birthday tweet to Nick:

When I flailed to her about it over email, eleanor_lavish pointed out that Tyson knows enough about the queer community to know what he was doing with his terminology.

They're sadly not very popular in bandom. One of eleanor_lavish's theories is that they're too married for fandom to find them interesting.

Can we talk about the FIVE OR SIX SEPARATE TIMES that Ty has outed himself in the media and how NO ONE SEEMS TO NOTICE?! It's just... IT'S STRANGE. Maybe there is some magical shielding spell that only a few of us are immune to?

You keep telling me this and I keep forgetting to ask: where/when has he done this? (I really know nothing except what I remember from reading the primer a while ago and following him on Twitter.)

A handful of them are IN the primer, and the media thinks a lot of them are jokes (because Tyson is a ridiculous person), but there's the time he woke up naked with Chris, and the time he got on one knee and proposed to Nick ON CAMERA, and the time he dragged a Canadian reporter to a vintage store and tried on dresses and the time he called himself "the luckiest gay boy in the world" on twitter and... oh, god, I am forgetting them! THE SHIELDING SPELL IS WORKING AGAIN. Sky will remind me - or you can poke her when she wakes up.)

Ha! I will have to read through the primer again. (It's been a while.) Or just make Sky tell me all about it when I'm there. (So soon!)

I don't know how it came across in performance, but that time Tyson tweeted a picture of himself in a blue dress for some concert (maybe some kind of radio holiday thing?) was so interestingly queer: he wasn't doing drag and it wasn't a joke; he was just a dude in a dress.
