rsadelleI really have no idea what my plan for this was. As it is, it was mostly just an excuse for me to use the phrase "metaphorical pants."
Mike and Tom break up for the third time - "This year," Danielle says - just before Christmas break.
"I don't see why you wanting to get into my genius brother's musical pants means I have to listen to all your romantic woes."
Tom must look as horrified as she feels - Max is just a kid! - because Danielle rolls her eyes and says, "Oh my God, they're metaphorical pants, okay?" And then, probably not talking about Max, "Just sleep with him or dump him for good or do whatever kind of guitar playing bonding you two do," like Tom hasn't already done all three of those things.
She can't be too mad about it, because when they go to the mall later, Danielle buys her lip gloss that's just the right shade.
