Are you supposed to keep your big bang secret while you're writing it? I think I've only seen one person on my friends list talking about hers, but maybe people just aren't doing it. I used to be very secretive about what I was writing, but now I'm having fun letting other people read along. That is not what I actually came here to say. This is:

My story is an actor!Gabe/director!Victoria AU. I've managed to write 9,000 words without knowing what the hell the movie is about, but I'm now well past the point where I really need to know to write the rest of the story (I thought about making it a gimmick that you never know, but I don't know that I can get 11,000 more words out of that), and I'm not having any brilliant thoughts about it.

The movie is written by Pete. The main character is Jasper, played by Gabe. The other two main characters are Caroline, played by Greta, and a man to be named later, played by Ryland. It has to be Oscar-worthy. One of the people reading along with the story suggested a psychological thriller, which I like the idea of.

Any ideas for the movie plot?

Is Jasper the hero or the villain of the movie? Is Caroline a hero or a villain (or just a love interest, or a combination)? What about Ryland's character?

Is it a movie with a sad ending, a happy ending, or just an - ending?

Deciding those things might help you figure out some of a plot. I also would suggest watching some psychological thrillers and stealing things that you like from them.

I see people saying they'll post big bang stuff under a filter to save their flists. I have no such compunctions!

Do you read many psychological thrillers? You could always have it be an adaptation where they changed the names.

I think anything written by Pete would be a think-y kind of plot with a deeper commentary about social issues but that mostly reveals a lot about Pete himself. I think there would be twists with an ending that's probably a surprise? Trying to imagine a three minute song blown into a two hour movie, heh.

My favorite thriller that would totally work for this is "Dead Again" - I wonder if you can steal from that?
