Daily Treat: December 5
Dec. 5th, 2009 05:44 pmI don't know if I heard Déanta on the radio or if I just liked the album cover when I shuffled through the Celtic section of the shelves at Tower. For whatever reason, I long ago bought their album Ready For The Storm. I continue to be fond of it. "The Lakes Of Pontchartrain" is a traditional song. What I like so much about Déanta's version is that they have a female singer singing it: "And I fell in love with a Creole girl from the Lakes of Pontchartrain."
