I rereadazurejay's Document recently and found that it has greatly influenced this story. Hudson's FTM Resource Guide was a good reference for research that didn't explicitly make it into the story. The title is from this.
Warnings: One instance of homophobic/gender policing language. Story about a trans character where the main character is a cisgendered straight man.
