This gives me hope. I've read several of the books on there, and even the ones I haven't read are by good writers. It's a relief to find that teenagers are reading good books, especially in light of the fact that the majority of new books on the young adult shelves at Barnes & Noble are the latest books in excessively commercialized series.

Ooooooh, S. E. Hinton.

I adore her. My copy of The Outsiders is a tattered mess, and it's the second one I've been through.

S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders has become required reading in my brother's high school now. He even watched the movie version because he liked the book so much. Personally, I'm just glad he's reading, period, but it's nice that he's reading a good book that he enjoys.
