Today's song is again one I heard just the day before writing this post. [livejournal.com profile] norwich36 and I went to see Slumdog Millionaire yesterday. I thought it was very well done, and I enjoyed it, although I will warn you that there are a few moments of violence I had to close my eyes through. The music for the movie was amazing, and it certainly deserves the Oscar nominations. I considered both "Paper Planes" and "Jai Ho" as today's song of the day, but in the end, had to go with the one that was my first impulse: "O... Saya."

O... Saya - M.I.A.

Ah, movie soundtrack music recommendations-- now that, I can do (http://community.livejournal.com/audiography/1730150.html).

M.I.A.'s not my thing, but I still need to see Slumdog Millionaire. I'm so behind on legitimate movies!

fuseji needs better headphones.

Taken wouldn't bother me so much if it didn't feature one of my current pet peeves: the drag-grab. You know, the shot where a screaming woman is dragged away from the camera (i.e. the end of the Quarantine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyEKPbuf8v0) trailer and nearly every scary movie of the past decade).

I have a morbid comedic interest in Underworld and will see it as soon as I can trick someone into paying for me because I'll be damned if that franchise gets any of my money. Personally there's no reason for me to go back to the theater until Coraline comes out.

fuseji has a very particular set of skills.
