Never-Finished Fic: Greg/Sara

rsadelleWhen I counted up my never-finished fics to post by the end of the year, I didn't count things that were in notebooks and not yet typed up. So you get three or four extra ones. (At least three. One more may be a finished story.)
This is a snippet of Greg/Sara CSI fic that I probably intended to be something romantic but now, at a distance, reads as mildly creepy.

He never hides his interest in her. Sometimes he wants her so much it hurts. He never wants her so much as those moments when she makes the split-second switch from half-flirting with him to reading off the chemical names of the compounds he's analyzed for her.
Hank-the-paramedic doesn't deserve her. Sure, paramedics have to know something, but being an EMT is not anything like being a CSI. Hank-the-paramedic could never understand her. Greg already does. Well, except for why she's interested in Hank-the-paramedic.
