What I'm Looking For
Pretty much anything, really. I worried before that it was a little flat, and I'd love to have some opinions on that. I'd also like to know if you think it's something I could sell. Beyond that, I'll take any other comments you may have, from misplaced commas to the emotional impact of the story.

I will say mean things about you if you send anything back to me between November 30 and December 14. (Reasoning: I'd like to submit this for critique for my writing group's December 14 meeting. That means I have to turn it in by December 6. I'll want some time to incorporate whatever you have to say before I submit it, and then I won't want to think about it again until we talk about it in my writing group.)
