Never-Written Fic: CSI, Long Nick Bunny

rsadelleToday's theme for never-finished fic is CSI. First up is a Nick bunny I never really worked on, although bits of it did float around in my head for a while.
Nick comes from a long line of lawyers, judges, and politicians, and the rest of his family is all in Texas--lawyering, judging, or politicking. He's the only one who's left the state. Now one of his big sisters is running for Senate, so Nick has to let the rest of the team know that if anyone asks about him, they should refer them to the campaign spokesperson. Then he runs into someone he slept with once, who isn't very nice and who knows his sister is running for Senate. So Nick goes to his parents' house--which is still family headquarters--over the weekend. He gets there on Friday afternoon, before anyone's home yet. He starts dinner and makes some sun tea. The sister running for Senate and her family are there for the weekend. He hangs out, they have dinner, and after dinner they send the kids out to play and Nick says, "There's a guy who might tell the press that I slept with him." The sister's husband/campaign manager says, "Jesus, Nick. This is just what we need." And then his sister starts the family working on a strategy to deal with it in the press.
I also have some bits about the whole batch of CSIs watching late night news and Nick analyzing his sister's performance on camera. And Nick saying to someone, probably Catherine, in response to a question about his weekend, "I came out to my family."
