Stuff That Could Be Yours: August 2007
Aug. 11th, 2007 01:19 pmThis letting go is really working for me.
Some things that I wanted to sell are now reappearing as free items. Notably, the comic books, which I decided were more trouble than they were worth to try and sell. Other things have been listed on Amazon, which I highly recommend as a way to sell your stuff.
How This Works: If you want something, or several somethings, leave a comment telling me what you want (titles as well as numbers will help me gather them up more easily) and email me your address. I'll cross things out as they get taken. I'll attempt to go to the post office once a week. (I will be out of town for several days over the period I'm offering this stuff up, so if you don't hear back from me right away, don't worry! I'll get back to you when I get back.) I'll be sending things media mail or priority mail depending on how much you want and how many boxes I have in the house and/or can scrounge at work. If you want anything like insurance, delivery confirmation, etc., let me know that when you email me.
As always, if you have any questions about anything, just ask.
Please feel free to point your friends this way if you think I have something they'll want.
Anything not claimed by about 8:45 am Pacific Time on August 25 will be donated elsewhere.

Date: 2007-08-11 10:12 pm (UTC)from books, 4. Sunshine by Robin McKinley, 54. Crown Duel by Sherwood Smith (I just read this book, in the original two parts, from the library for the first time recently, and have already sold copies to two people at work - it felt kind of unsophisticated, and the love story can be seen coming at first glance, of course, but I still liked it :), 74. When the King Comes Home by Caroline Stevermer (read this a few years ago and was just thinking about it again recently);
and from comics, 13. Stardust by Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess (just because I'm told it's much better with the pictures; if someone else wants it, I could send it to them to keep after I looked at it).

Date: 2007-08-11 11:53 pm (UTC)I thought similarly about Crown Duel - her battle scenes are not great, but I did love the book anyway. (I recommend avoiding the short story that's tacked on to the end of the two-books-in-one book; it's not very good.)
Have you read A College of Magics and A Scholar of Magics? I forget the exact relationship, but they're somehow in the same universe as When the King Comes Home. (I liked A College of Magics better than A Scholar of Magics.)
