So you know how I said I would do this until I ran out of fic or month, depending on which came first? Yeah, well, it's not going to be fic. I think part of the reason I didn't do recs before is that I was afraid I would forget something, and, as a completist, that didn't appeal to me. My quick list, which I've added to as I've thought of things over the last couple of days has well over thirty stories on it now. I thought about doing a poll to see how you think I should deal with this, but then I decided to just start doing some of the things I thought I could do. And so I am instituting three-day weekend bonus recs. That means Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are two-a-days, and the bonus recs will fit a theme. Friday's theme is fantasy.

Today's fantasy bonus rec is "Mistress Dana's Master" by Merri-Todd Webster. (It took me a while to find it, too, so you may want to save a copy; the place I used to go to read it no longer exists.) As you might have guessed from the title, it's an X-Files story, and it's Mulder/Scully, Scully/Skinner, Mulder/Skinner, all as part of Scully's fantasy as she gets off after a long day. (It's a sort of sequel to "Mistress Dana," but you in no way need to read that to understand this one.) Not only is the sex hot, but I love Scully's annoyed inner voice: Yes, they'd wrapped up the case successfully, but Mulder had contrived to lose his gun, her gun, his cellphone, her cellphone, his driver's license, her pumps, and control of the car, resulting in over a thousand dollars' damage in broken plate glass.
