When I saw in the summaries for mixers post for first wave [livejournal.com profile] bandombigbang that someone was writing Mike/Michael/Naomi, I was so excited I posted exclamation points all over Twitter and said that someone knows the secret wishes of my heart.

The story was posted today: "Give A Little Love" by [livejournal.com profile] colouredmango and [livejournal.com profile] rebecca_star, and it's everything I could have wanted and more. I wanted to wrap myself up in this story and live in it forever. You should go read it.

Today's treat is a rec: [livejournal.com profile] cupiscent's Mike Carden/Michael Guy Chislett story The Feng Shui of Electric Guitar. This is the kind of story I always want to write but don't think I can because I don't know that much about music.
After the first time Mike met Chiz, he had this dream where they were back on the couch - the couch where they'd talked for a couple of hours that had felt like fifteen minutes. Except this time, they were making out, Chiz pressing down against Mike pressing up, his shirt open and it and his skin and his hair stretched above like he was the curve of the sky and Mike was the earth.

Pouring coffee in the morning, Mike congratulated his subconscious on that one. It had been a serious first meeting, an intense one, pivotal. Mike couldn't fault his brain for translating the processing of it into the most visceral physical language it could find.
There are two other things I find worth noting about this story: Spoilers )
