Potter Movie 5 Bullet Points

- HARRY/LUNA. Yes. You shall deny no more. They're made for each other! The bits I loved of them from the book made it into the movie - especially the bit at the end where she's posting signs for her stuff. (Bunny: Harry puts the word out that she's not to be messed with, and it works.) As a committed Harry/Luna shipper, I really liked the contrast of Luna and Cho standing next to each other. As a dedicated
deadbrowalking reader, I do have to point out the weird pale white girl vs. weepy Asian girl contrast.
- Speaking of
deadbrowalking sorts of thoughts (we'll get back to pairings in a moment), was anyone else irritated by Kingsley? Especially his bit where he says Albus has style.
- Back to pairings: Sirius/Remus. Uh, yeah. Even though they didn't give joint presents the way they did in the book, they were clearly together. Together, together, together. The moment when Sirius comes to hug Harry and Remus is just kind of leaning in the doorway. Then later when Sirius tells Harry that they'll be a real family, you know he meant the three of them.
- Tonks/Ginny. There wasn't enough of Tonks at all (and she's much, much more dykey in the book), but I really liked her making Ginny laugh. I kind of just want this to appear in my head, because I'm afraid of what I'll find if I try to actually read any.
- Harry/Dudley, anyone? There's a moment in that opening playground scene that had me thinking it.
- Fred/George. Yeah. Especially their betting on Ron's chances at stunning Hermione.
- Harry/Snape. The "I will attempt to penetrate your mind" thing isn't even it for me. It's just that anytime I'm somewhat into HP again, I want to read Harry/Snape. What can I say? I love the they have to get married plot, and there are quite a few of those that are Harry/Snape, as well as other good, long Harry/Snape fics.
- Ron/Hermione. Would a post with me blathering about HP pairings be complete without something about Ron/Hermione? The answer is no. When we first see the room Harry's going to stay in at Grimmauld Place, my first thought was that Ron and Hermione must have been sleeping there together. (No, I don't know why. Something about the mussed bed and Hermione being there. And also, did you notice that the bed that's clearly been slept in is the one Harry ends up with?)
