P.S. Having said that: Cervantes declared the death of the hero archetype; you have the chance to truly revive it. Or, to quote Andrew Lloyd Webber lyrics, "This Jesus must die." I'll have a great deal of respect for you if the only way to stop Voldemort involves Harry choosing his own death over Voldemort's continued existence.

I really, really hope Harry bites it, because it would be fitting, and also because Harry's entire life purpose is to defeat Voldemort, and I just can't see him easily transitioning into an everyday life where there are no Dark Lords to battle.

I'll be surprised if she does it. On the other hand, if she does, then she won't be tempted to write more books about him.

I think it's the only way for her to escape being hounded for more books for the rest of her life, though, so she may do it if only for that reason. Although, that didn't work for Conan Doyle, either, so who knows.
