Hi! I'm excited you're writing me a story! Thank you for taking on one of these requests.

First up, what I do and don't like in fic. I'm cool with gen or pairing fic, sex or no sex. I've tried to give you a variety of ideas for each fandom if you want somewhere to start from, but please feel free to go somewhere else with your story if there's something else you want to write. I want this to be fun for you!

Likes: Clothes sharing, d/s, women, relationships between equals, people being smart/competent, people acting like adults, cuddling, happy endings, kids and babies, dialogue, slowly developing relationships, relationship negotiations of all kinds, kink negotiation, unconventional parenting arrangements, people making reproductive choices (no matter what the outcome), non-creepy possessiveness, nonsexual intimacy (sex is also good), power dynamics, feminist themes, hand-holding, food sharing.

Dislikes: Embarrassment (especially teenage embarrassment), misogyny, randomly inconsistent pov, abrupt endings, an overabundance of teenage angst, stories designed to make the reader feel anxious or full of dread (I like things that are prickly and difficult, just not in a doom is coming or embarrassment sort of way), graphic on-screen violence (the aftermath of violence is fine).

Now on to specific fandoms:

Bake Squad RPF - Maya-Camille Broussard, Ashley Holt, Gonzo Jimenez, Christophe Rull. Please also feel free to include Christina Tosi - with only four character slots for nominations, I thought it was most important to get the bakers in, but I would have nominated Christina too if possible. I have to admit that I'm unsure about how I feel about this show (I wrote a whole post about it), but couldn't stop thinking about how it would be fun as a Yuletide fandom. This is a fandom where I would particularly love something weird, in content or style. The closest I come to really wanting romance here is that I love it when Gonzo and Christophe flirt, and I would be into that being an element of the story. I also enjoy it when bakers ask each other for help or advice.

Some specific things I would read:
  • Someone comes on the show to get a dessert for a celebration for some sort of entity like an eldritch monster or an alien, or to be the centerpiece at a demon summoning ritual.

  • An eldritch monster, alien, AI, or other entity without a human's relationship to human food comes on the show to get a dessert for a celebration for a human friend/partner.

  • If you wanted to do a fictional version of the episode table in the show's Wikipedia page, as its own thing or combined with some sort of strange or unusual celebrations, I would be into that. A table that slowly escalates the weirdness would be really fun.

  • What happens after some entity with supernatural powers (angel, demon, witch, eldritch monster, Greek god, etc.) decides to use their powers to thank the bakers? I would love it if whatever strange things happen begin with the winning baker and then spread to the others after the episode airs and the entity with supernatural powers finds out how much effort the other bakers also put into making the event special for them.

  • The celebration the bakers have to bake for is a gender reveal party for a trans or nonbinary person who's coming out. Or maybe they do a whole season of making desserts for a variety of queer celebrations.

  • The weirdest things the bakers ask Christina to source for them.

Filthy Rich (TV 2020) - Becky Monreaux, Ginger Sweet. NOTE: This section includes spoilers for the last episode. Aaaah, I have so many feelings about this show! (I even wrote a lot of words about that.) In regards to the twist about Becky and Eugene, I would read either fic that takes place after that taking it into account or canon divergent AUs where it never happened. I am most interested in Becky/Ginger fic, but if that is not your thing, something gen about the two of them would work for me.

A note about religion: I do enjoy sincere religious themes in fiction, and I enjoyed both the discussion between Ginger and Margaret on the air about religion and Ginger and Becky's conversations about God's plans. Personally, I'm Jewish and not interested in being proselytized to, but I am definitely interested in a story that incorporates the character's religious beliefs/values/ideas.

Canon specific do not want: I do not want to see the process of Eugene grooming Becky into a relationship on screen, although the aftermath or Becky reflecting on it is fine.

Some specific things I would read:
  • Canon divergence where Becky and Eric figure out the Monreaux family is a mess much earlier and team up together to get out of it so Becky can be with Ginger and Eric can be with Rachel and they can all be amicable about it. Maybe they take the money when Ginger gets everyone their percentage and split it between them so they'll both be able to be happy and provide for their kid.

  • Fic where somehow Becky and Ginger and Eric and Rachel end up as basically one large family.

  • Any variety of future fic about how Becky raises her daughter and how the daughter grows up. Whose house does she grow up in? What's her relationship to the rest of the Monreauxs? Does she learn a version of religion that's more like what Becky learned or more like what Ginger believes? If Becky and Ginger are together, is it weird that her stepmom is also her half-sister?

  • A story where Becky leaves the Monreauxs, goes to Ginger, and quotes from the book of Ruth: "Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God." When Ginger asks if she would work for Ginger's cam site if Ginger wanted her to, a nervous Becky reiterates, "Your people will be my people." And of course Ginger would never force someone into that, but also she wanted to know what Becky would say about it. (I know this is weirdly specific, but I keep thinking about it without knowing what to do with it myself.)

  • Post-series fic. How does Becky find her way out of the situation she's in? How does she realize that maybe it's not so healthy? Does Ginger help along the way? Does Becky find her way back to Ginger later? Does Becky ever tell Ginger about how she met Eugene and just how young she was (I'm guessing) at the time?

  • How does it affect Becky and Ginger (as individuals or as a couple) if/when Eric and Luke manage to take down Eugene and possibly the whole Monreaux empire?

  • I love Becky's hilarious prayers that function as the "previously on" segment. I would read an entire story told through Becky's prayer recaps.

Wild Child (2008) - Poppy Moore, Kate (Wild Child). I love predictable teen movies! And I frequently want them to have more queer women, so I would love Poppy/Kate fic. Poppy and Kate gen fic is also totally cool. I love the hijinks and shenanigans aspect of this movie and would love to see more of that.

Some specific things I would read:
  • They're teenagers, so Poppy and Freddie breaking up not too long after they get together would be completely realistic. Maybe they break up after the summer and then Poppy and Kate get together.

  • Now that they've defeated Harriet and Poppy has found her place at Abbey Mount, surely they need some sort of new challenge. What has them sneaking around to avoid Matron as they engage in mischief?

  • If you are a fan of other teen movies and inclined toward crossovers, I would read a story where Poppy Moore, fashion designer, and Cora Hamilton, fashion designer from Rip Tide (2017) meet. Both of their stories involve figuring out their place in the world and making friends with other girls; surely they would have some things to talk about and/or a basis for a friendship. Or maybe, since Poppy is older if you suppose the movies take place in the years they were released, Poppy can be some sort of mentor to Cora. Bonus points if Cora doesn't realize Poppy and Kate are a couple at first.

  • I would love a they didn't know they were dating story where Poppy and Kate become a couple without realizing it.

  • Classic kid fic where one of them gets pregnant or has a small child and the other one helps out and then they fall in love. This might be fun as future fic where they're still friends but maybe not as close any more until this happens.

  • I love the way Kate takes care of Poppy, and would read more of that in a friendship, Kate is Poppy's housewife, and/or service kink sort of way.

  • There's kind of an implication that Mrs. Kingsley knew Poppy's mom. I would read something about Poppy finding that out and how she deals with it.

  • I would read a fictional news article about fashion designer Poppy Moore participating in a celebrity lacrosse game/tournament either with her wife Kate or being supported by her wife Kate.

I hope that gives you some good ideas to start from, and I hope you have a good Yuletide experience! ♥
