rsadelleSomewhere I was having a conversation with someone about the Habs in a coffee shop AU, and I typed out half a plot bunny into an email draft (which Gmail tells me I last edited in January 2014).
Brandon and Maripier are models who frequent the coffee shop. It has great coffee and amazing baked goods they don't let themselves eat very often.
P.K. owns the place. He flirts outrageously with Brandon and Maripier. They think for a while that he might be serious. But then they have an early morning photo shoot together that means they go in for coffee just after the place opens. P.K. is behind the counter, but he has his back to the door because there's a guy, handsome enough to be in their line of work, with his hands on the counter on either side of P.K. penning him in. The guy looks up at Brandon and Maripier, and lets P.K. turn around without moving away.
"Hey, favorite customers!" P.K. says. "This is Carey. He makes the pastries you never eat."
Brandon and Maripier explain that they love the pastries and they'll eat as many as they can stand when they retire from modeling.
P.K. rings them up, and then elbows at Carey's arms. "Let me go, man. I have to make their coffee."
Carey doesn't until P.K. turns around, nuzzles at his jaw, and whispers something into his ear that makes Carey look a little dazed and step back enough to let P.K. make coffee.
"I guess he wasn't serious," Brandon says when they're outside and on their way to the shoot.
"Not with that around," Maripier agrees. She links her elbow through his arm while they walk to the subway.
The coffee shop always gets an influx of new employees in the fall, when there are new college students looking for jobs. There are two Brandon and Maripier see most often this year. One always has a bright smile on his face and a nametag that says Brendan. The other, whose nametag says Alex, has a more serious look but can sometimes be surprised into a bright smile.
This is where I left off and never wrote more, but obviously Brandon and Maripier flirt with Alex a lot, and get to know him, and eventually it's a threesome.
