rsadelleFor the last day of 31 Days of Fic, here is a final fireworks burst of all the other tiny snippets and plot bunnies that aren't posted elsewhere. Things involving non-celebrity partners are at the end, so if that's not your thing, bail when you get to that heading.
Somewhere, possibly on one of the hockey rarepair fests, there was a prompt for a story where the Bruins don't know Brownie is a girl until she comes to visit. I don't know what that story would be about, but I think about it sometimes. Girl!Brownie wears wedge heels to rub in the fact that she's taller than Segs.

Tyler and Ciara broke up because they liked each other a lot and enjoyed dating, but the sex was never good. They get drunk and hook up, and it's okay because they're drunk, but in the morning they're both grouchy about it. Fred joins them in the kitchen, and they confess to him that the sex is bad. Fred laughs at them.
"Of course it was. I've slept with both of you-"
Ciara raises her eyebrows.
"Once," Tyler says.
Fred holds up three fingers and mouths, "Three times," behind Tyler's back, then continues with, "I had to do all the work with both of you. You think you don't have to work for it because you're pretty."
"You're plenty pretty," Ciara says.
Fred shrugs. "I don't get the celebrity fuck bonus."
So then Tyler and Ciara decide that they should learn to be better in bed.
Either Fred helps them (in a threesomey relationship kind of way or in a threesomey bro just giving bros a hand way) or he mocks them mercilessly when they tell him about some of the things they've tried.

I would also read a story where TBrown gets into it with Fred because, "You were supposed to take care of him!" Fred yells back that he did what he could and it's TBrown's fault Segs is so screwed up. And then when they're done yelling at each other, they realize it's going to take both of them to take care of Segs. And also, then they worry a lot about what's going to happen in Dallas.

In the third grade teacher TBrown Story, Segs and Ciara got married and had a kid, then got traded to Dallas, then divorced. TBrown stopped playing hockey early, so he never met TSegs. He went to Dallas following a now ex-girlfriend. So now he teaches at some fancy private school, which is where Segs and Ciara's daughter goes. And Ciara's already met TBrown because she does some of the PTA kind of things with the school. She tells TSegs he's going to like TBrown, because she knows what he likes. (She also overshared to TBrown about TSegs when they worked on a project the year before. Well, more like she told him part of the reason they split up was that Segs liked dick. [The real thing; she has toys.]) And then they go to parent-teacher night, and Segs is totally taken with TBrown. TBrown follows hockey, so he does know what Segs looks like. It's a little different in person, though. Ciara told Segs he was going to like Mr. Brown, but he didn't know Mr. Brown was going to look like that. He has stubble and he's wearing glasses and a suit, and Segs just wants him. (He's not the only one. There are a lot of single parents there.) He kind of gets distracted by that when Mr. Brown is telling them about how he teaches and whatever. Ciara totally knows what he's thinking and laughs at him, but she also makes sure he gets to meet Mr. Brown. Well, first he finds out Mr. Brown is also named Tyler, and then Mr. Brown says good things about his daughter. And then Segs beams at him and asks him if he likes hockey. Instead of pushing forward when he got cut from Junior C, TBrown decided hockey probably wasn't for him. But he likes hockey, and admits to following the Stars since he's in Dallas now.

Jamie's fucking Tyler on the couch when Jordie comes home. Tyler doesn't notice, pushes back against Jamie with a whine.
"Why did you stop?"
Jamie runs a hand down the perfect, smooth line of Tyler's back while he looks at Jordie. They spend a moment in wordless conversation, and then Jordie steps forward.
Jamie pulls Tyler's head back by his hair. "Tyler," he says, "you're going to suck Jordie off while I fuck you."
Tyler moans and shoves himself back onto Jamie's cock.

Going to spend my whole day thinking about Segs buying TBrown at a firefighter bachelor auction, egged on by some of his other bros. He doesn't quite mean it. Or doesn't think he does. But the guy he's bidding on is pretty hot, and turns out to be cool when they meet. TBrown is like, "Great, rich dudes thinking they're funny," but at least the money goes to a good cause. And then he meets Segs, who is hot and flirty. And then blah, blah, blah story, they fall in love, live happily ever after, etc.

Soooo one of the Boston bros is going from Boston to Dallas to Mexico. Guessing that's Segs' vacation too. Maybe we've been wrong all this time and it's really Brandon who is Segs' boyfriend. In the D/s AU, this is a chance for Segs to spend days at a time totally under Brandon's control so he can unwind all his tension. I really want D/s AU accidental dating. It's just that Brandon has a schedule that lets him travel. It wasn't supposed to be more than that.

There should be fic where Segs is closer to Jamie but there's something he really likes about Jordie cooking/watching out for them. Jordie always says it's just the big brother thing, but Segs doesn't watch out for his sisters in quite the same way. Eventually he figures out he likes it because it reminds him of how Brownie is with him.

Watching all of Jamie's goals over the summer just seemed like the right thing to do. Tyler didn't think he meant anything by it, but Jamie seems both surprised and pleased when he mentions it.
Jordie is going to have to watch this whole courtship from up close. He wants them to be happy, but he doesn't need to see it. He knows what Jamie is doing when he invites Tyler over for dinner, even if Jamie insists they're bonding with a new teammate.
They are ALWAYS smiling goofily at each other. Jordie starts referring to Tyler as "your boyfriend" when talking to Jamie. (He's just good enough a brother not to say it in front of Tyler. He knows they're not there yet.)
He comes home from a date and finds Jamie, Tyler, and Tyler's dog all cuddling on the couch watching a movie. Jordie just shakes his head and goes past them to the stairs. He hopes they'll eventually figure it out.
The worst is when other people want him to explain something about Jamie and Tyler since he's always around them. There isn't really a tactful way to say, "they're not dating yet but should be and that's how to understand them."
He is, unfortunately, in the kitchen with them cooking when they run into each other and giggle at each other for a moment. The giggling turns into goofy smiling, and Jordie doesn't want to interrupt, but he also doesn't want to witness this. Even though he turns his back to stir something, he can still hear the murmur of their voices and the sound of them kissing.
He is such a good brother that after dinner, he leaves to hang out with other people instead of kicking them out to Tyler's. Everything is quiet when he gets home. Marshall is asleep in the living room, and Tyler isn't.
He's not the least surprised when Tyler comes down for breakfast with Jamie. Wearing one of Jamie's shirts.
Jordie's still stuck witnessing their super sappy romance, but at least they know what they're doing now.
In the other version, Jordie raises his eyebrows at Jamie. "He's being good for you."
And Jamie is like, hmm, yeah. So then inviting Tyler over for dinner is about rewarding him for that. (And Jamie and Jordie share everything already, so of course he's going to share this sweet little sub with Jordie.) Sometimes they take turns. Sometimes they team up to dom him.
Tyler goes all pink-cheeked and smiley when Jamie praises him for having watched all his goals over the summer. Jordie praises him for it, and also asks if he watched any of Jordie's play.
"You're a D-man," Tyler says. "And what if I'm on the ice with you?" Jordie asks.
When Tyler comes over for dinner the next night, he says, "It's a lot harder to find your highlights."
"Did you watch any?" Jordie asks.
"All the ones I could find," Tyler says.
It's a little blatant, but Jordie reaches out and cups Tyler's cheek for a moment. "Good."
Tyler's cheek heats up under Jordie's hand. "I'm going to do my best here."
Jamie throws an arm around Tyler's shoulders. "We know you are. This is a good start."
There are cupcakes in the fridge that they get out after dinner as an extra reward for Tyler.

Brandi got into MMA when she figured out the best way she could play hockey was to be an enforcer. Knowing she can take down pretty much anyone means she doesn't have anything to prove, so she fights smart, thinks instead of just reacting. Andrew Shaw thinks he has more to prove than anyone Brandi has ever met. She's been waiting for him to realize he can prove some of that in her bed instead of on the ice. Brandi is a patient woman, but she's been waiting for so long she thinks she might have to say something instead of just hinting at it.

There should be a story where Sid gets custody of Taylor (maybe when he's only been in the NHL for a year or so). I really want a story where their parents die and they're trying to figure out what happens to Taylor now, and she very stubbornly says to Sid, "You're my only family now. I'm going with you," and the Lemieuxs say, "Of course the two of you can stay with us, and we'll take care of Taylor while you're on the road."

Someone should talk to me about human alpha Sidney Crosby. (I'm more than a little obsessed with werewolves with human alphas.) After Sid finds out about werewolves, the wolves on his team start hanging out with him in wolf form. Mostly they just hang out with each other and look at him for approval, but sometimes they nudge him for more direct approval. Geno likes to just flop down and ask for belly scritches, because he takes wolf form as an excuse to just act like a puppy. Gonch despairs of Geno because he's old enough to know better. Sid doesn't mind, though. The human-wolf language barrier is easier for him to navigate than the English-Russian one.

I would read a Mike's issues story where he tries doing long term relationships, but they never last more than two years or so, and Jeff just doesn't get it because his relationship with Megan is so stable. Maybe Jonathan Toews would be the one who does get it.

I would also read a gen/het version of Carts and Danny partying where Mike and Jeff are on the phone one day and Mike says, "Hey, you should call Danny B, invite him to come out with you."
Jeff asks, "Uh, why?" because it's not that he doesn't like Danny, but they don't really hang out that much.
"He's divorced," Mike says, "and he's getting back into the game so he's probably over it now. You should take him out, make sure he gets laid."
Jeff laughs. "Danny's clutch. I think he can get laid on his own if he wants."
"Well, then take him out and make sure he has an opportunity."
"Why me?"
"Because you're there," Mike says. "And who else is going to do it? It'll be good for him, good for the team."
"I'll bet other captains don't demand this of their teams."

Danny's been underestimated his whole life, because he's small for a hockey player, because he tends to be quiet, because he's an omega. The only reason he even got to play in the NHL in the first place was that he was claimed.
Alphas don't leave their omegas, but Danny's alpha did, and now he's an unclaimed omega who isn't in any hurry to be claimed. Which is why it doesn't make sense - to him or anyone else - why he invites young, unpartnered, alpha Claude to live with him.

One of the rarepair fests had a prompt for: "Sid thinks Danny's kids are great. And he supposes their dad isn't entirely horrible."
I still vaguely want to write Danny/Sid fic. My story for that prompt would start with Sid meeting the kids after a game in Philly, because they want to meet him and he and Claude are friends now (because of Olympics stuff), so they have a good in to get to hang out with him. Then Danny invites him out to dinner when the Pens are in Montreal and thanks him for being willing to hang out with the kids. This would also get you some really great Claude being friends with both of them stuff.

I've been thinking about how Danny is superstitious, and now I really want Danny/Sid fic where everything is a ridiculous negotiation because they have to work around two sets of superstitions and routines. Possibly in a story where the Flyers buy out Danny's contract and he signs with the Pens. And it could be all serious about negotiation, but I would really want it to be a comedy.
Plus there's the additional complication of the kids, and they're kind of excited that their dad is friends with SIDNEY CROSBY and kind of suspicious because the Pens have been the enemy for so long. And then there's dealing with Claude's baffled annoyance. And it could be such a good screwball comedy.
In the screwball comedy, after Danny signs with the Pens, Sid calls him to welcome him to the team. He also says, "I don't really like living alone, and you don't seem to like living alone, and this is obviously a temporary situation for you, and I won't mind having your kids around when they come to visit, so do you want to move in with me?"
And then there would be both (a) blow jobs on the synthetic ice rink in the basement and (b) too many teenagers around if Taylor comes to visit when Danny's kids are also there (because if Taylor's hanging around at Sid's house, the Lemieux kids would also be there). And then they would realize that Sid's baby sister is just a little older than Danny's oldest kid, and that would bring home the age difference.
"It didn't bother you with Giroux," Sid yells.
"I wasn't sleeping with Claude," Danny yells back. And then they stare at each other in complete confusion.
In the Sid/Danny story I'm not writing, Sid has a Little Penguins thing to go to one day where he's going to be working with little kids. Danny isn't doing anything, so he asks if he can tag along. Sid warns him that everyone wears an 87 jersey so there's no fighting over it, and Danny looks at him for a minute, and then asks if Sid has an extra jersey he can wear. If everyone wears 87, he will too. Everyone else involved seems to find this amusing or charming, except for Claude, who is very unhappy about it.

Danny/Claude, Danny/Jeff V relationship fic would be set in summer 2010. Danny tells Carts about asking Claude to move in with him (possibly while they're either in bed or making out on the couch), "Not like that. I want it to be like that, but it isn't." And then Carts mocks him for his taste but also tells him to go for it.
"I don't know if he's into it."
Jeff rolls his eyes. "He worships you. I'm sure he'd suck your dick if you asked him to."
"Are you going to suck my dick if I ask you?"
"Not if you're going to be thinking about him."
Danny chuckles. "No, just you," and Jeff goes down on him.

Today in Ruth is obsessed with people having babies: I want a girl!Danny&girl!Claude story where Claude gets pregnant. Claude says that of course she has to have the baby (because she's been raised Catholic), even though it means missing a season or most of one at least. She lives with Dani while she's pregnant. Her parents come down when it gets to be close to her due date. The night she goes into labor is a home game, and Dani's at the rink when Claude goes to the hospital with her parents. Claude is, obviously, totally freaked out about giving birth, and while her mom is being a good support, she really wants Dani there.
Dani shows up late, well after the game has to be over, and she harangues Claude for not calling her when she went into labor.
"You had a game," Claude says. "Did you win?"
Dani says, "Yes," and Claude smiles at her and then another contraction hits.
Claude cries when they get a lot closer together, and she says, "I can't do this."
"Of course you can," Dani says. "I did this three times before I was your age, and you're a hockey player. It's going to hurt more than anything else you've ever felt, and then you're going to fall in love more than you ever have, and someday you won't remember just how much this hurts. You can do this."
And then she does, and she cries again when they put her daughter into her arms, and Dani says, "I told you you could do it."
And then they live happily ever after with the two of them and a baby and the boys and hockey.
They don't even have to be romantically involved! I would read a version where they just live happily ever after in an implicitly, if not explicitly, feminist hockey commune with their hockey playing children.

Thinking about Claude and his leadership team: Kimmo's been around for a long time and he's technically the second in command, so Claude talks to him mostly about on the ice kinds of things. Scott is one of Claude's best friends, so they talk a lot about the personality things, team dynamics, that kind of thing, but mostly in a casual way when they're hanging out. Danny's his friend, but he's also his mentor, and he's been an NHL captain before, so Claude talks to him about the more difficult things and about how not to let being captain get to him.
Danny and Claude have lunch at least once a week. It's not like they'll stop being friends if they don't, but it's good to stay connected, and have some time to hang out. Being captain takes a lot more time than Claude really thought it would.
"I need a favor," Claude says over lunch.
"A favor?"
"I need your house."
Danny laughs. "My house?"
"I want to have a thing for the guys, with their families and everything. My place isn't big enough and you have the backyard so all the kids can run around. I'll do everything, take care of the food and clean up after, all of that stuff, I just need a place to have it."
Danny smiles at him, and it's the same smile he gives the boys when they do something good. "I think that's a great idea. Of course you can use the house."

It's not a love story. They're not dating. They fuck sometimes - complete day off tomorrow, so they're in Prusty's bed today, Prusty on his hands and knees earlier with Danny fucking hard into him - and sometimes they talk a little afterwards.
"You notice anything weird about the kids recently?" Prusty asks. He's lying next to Danny, one arm up under his head, annoyingly awake when Danny just wants a nap.
"Which kids?"
Brandon slaps Danny's stomach lightly. Danny could, admittedly, be paying more attention to this conversation than he is.
"Gally and Chucky. They seem weird recently."
"They're jealous," Danny mumbles.
"They're getting plenty of ice time."
Danny was thinking things might be different in Montreal, but there are the same oblivious idiots everywhere. "They're not jealous about ice time."
"Then what are they jealous about?"
Danny opens his eyes, because he needs to see for himself that Prusty really is that clueless. He is. "They're jealous that I get to fuck you and they don't."

Very Short Plot Bunnies
Most of these are things I said over Twitter and so are very, very short.
I would read fic where TBrown is dating Heeter and TSegs goes after Benn because of it. (Really, I just want any TSegs revenge dating.)
But really, someone should write me a story about Jesse being Segs' boyfriend. #ifonlyIhadminions
I would read crackfic where Shaw is Brandonsexual and only interested in people named Brandon.
I would read a story where Benn moved into the building because the Stars wanted him to keep an eye on Segs.
I want a whole other sexuality crisis TSegs story where Benn is the one to mentor him through it.
Maybe it's about having to trust each other while they're apart. When Tyler's in Dallas, Fred's just going to have to trust that he isn't going home with anyone else.
There should be fic where Fred was just one of Segs' bros, they lived together, and now Segs is in love/very confused about his sexuality.
I would read fic where TBrown is worried about TSegs not being serious enough because he's young (like Julie).
There should be a story where Sid and Claude legit become friends when they have to play together for Canada. (In the comedy version, they could commiserate about having to move out of their mentors' houses.)
There should be a story where TBrown is lonely when he gets back to Jersey and ends up basically living with Danny.
There should be Tylers/Fred fic where they now have to navigate all three of them living in different states.
Thinking about TBrown with a service kink: maybe things didn't work out with Segs because he didn't appreciate Tyler doing things for him.
Office worker Mike is still asleep when construction worker Jeff leaves for work, and still at work when Jeff gets home. Jeff makes dinner and they spend the evenings together.
There should be a story where Fred and Segs aren't together, but then they can't handle being apart and eventually figure things out.
There should be Bollig/Shaw accidental dating fic. Baseball games! Bollig buying Shaw drinks! Sushi!
Would also read a story where TSegs' meltdown actually is a sexuality crisis.
Would still read a story where TSegs gets traded to LA and Carts and Richie become his mentors.
Just want someone to write 50K of Danny to LA where Mike and Jeff send him back to Claude with the ability to cook and give a great blowjob.
There should be a story where TSegs and Fred get married as a ploy to get Dougie to use Twitter.
But, really, there should be fic about Danny and Claude having adjoining rooms on the road.
Stories I would read: Danny signs with the Kings, Danny signs with the Pens, Danny+Sylvie+partners negotiating about the kids. Danny playing somewhere else then coming back and winning the Cup with Claude. Danny and Claude long-distance relationship.
Also on my wish list: Brioux alpha/beta/omega and/or d/s AU fic.
Someone should write really good Biz fic.
Also, someone should write Tylers fic where TBrown is super romantic since that's how he is with Julie.
There should be a story where Ovi is hassling Sid about his first love, and finally Sid gets mad and says, "Geno isn't my first love." And then everyone is confused, because Sid never told them about Jack.
(Eastern Conference Finals 2013) Someone should tell me about Segs and Fred getting drunk and fucking tonight. Maybe Segs and Fred getting drunk and fucking and then being like, "What did we do?" in the morning. And then working it out.
Also, I spent my morning walk writing Segs/Fred fairy tales in my head. Someone else should write the royal arranged marriage AU.
There should be a Carts/Richie/Danny story where Carts and Richie weren't just leaving each other when they got traded.
There should also be fic about how Jeff Skinner is jealous of all the attention EStaal is showing to Sasha. (Maybe Jordan makes it better.)
Maybe there should be kink fic about Zac Rinaldo. Like, he's a hardcore dom, but also adorbs with small children.
"He's back with his old mates Carter and Penner." No, no, NBC, don't make me think about werewolf threesomes.
There should be d/s or a/b/o fic dealing with the fact that it would physically hurt your knees to be on them ALL THE TIME.

There should be fic where AGally wants trio of BGally, Danny, and a toy.
There should be fic where the Tylers were always fine, they just toned down the public stuff.
Also, there should be a story where Paul teaches James to cook so he can feed himself if Paul's ever not around. James is Not Okay with the idea that Paul might ever not be around.
I would read a story where Segs dates mildly famous women to help them boost their visibility.
TBrown is the most adorable big brother. Still want the story where the Tylers become stepbrothers and have a bunch of younger siblings.
There should be a story where Segs is growing facial hair because he feels like he has to be more manly to prove himself now.
I need a not quite a total AU about the Galchenyuks being super rich society types.
There should be fic where someone suggests the Tylers name their kid Tyler Jr.
I really want a story about service top TBrown giving sub TSegs everything he wants.
There should also be fic where TBrown tells TSegs about wearing women's underwear/stockings/skirt. Segs is jealous and/or turned on.
Also: the picture yesterday of Jesse cooking makes me want TSegs and his boywives (TBrown, Jesse, Fred).
I feel like I've said this before: Jesse played with Hallsy in the OHL. (In the Segs and Hallsy to the Oilers AU, they're all bros.)
TBrown is going to be RFA after this season. Someone should write a story where he ends up signing with the Stars. Google Maps says Cedar Park is only three hours from Dallas. (I would also be super into this being a kinky story where it means TBrown can go visit when TSegs needs his dom.)
Today in TBrowns: the director of marketing for a bank. TBrown bank marketing director + TSegs advertising executive?
There should be a story where the Tylers decide/realize they're never going to have kids and become doting uncles to other people's kids. They have a house full of family and kids for the holidays, which is great, and they also love it when it's just the two of them again.
I would read an mpreg Tylers story where TBrown becomes the househusband because he gets pregnant.
There should be an always-a-girl hockey player story where she's never had female friends before, but now makes one somehow.
As much as I love fic where Sid is kind of subby and loves taking it, I would totally read fic where he's a dom. Maybe fic where so much of his life is out of his direct control, but this is something where he gets to make all the decisions.
Also, I would read fic where Prust and Maripier invite AGally over for dinner and then take him to bed to teach him things.
I would read fic where AGally learns to cook because of the video where BGally says he doesn't cook but would date a girl who does.
For real, someone should write fic about Heeter and TBrown being bros. It could even be Tylers fic where Heeter is the bff.

What I really want out of this summer is for TBrown to train/skate with Danny in Philly/Jersey.
What I would put in the Danny and TBrown story I'll probably never write: Danny keeps working out with the guys who stayed in the area even after he gets bought out, because this is where he's spending most of the summer and people often work out with other teams during the summer. Sometime in the middle of the summer, he says to Tyler, "Claude's going to be here next week. You should have dinner with us. Bring your girlfriend." Because of course Danny's been talking to Claude about Tyler, because that's what Danny does. And then Danny and Misha, Tyler and Julie, and Claude and Ryanne all have dinner together.
If only someone else would write some of this. I would be so into the dynamics of the six of them - Ryanne is much younger than everyone else, both Claude and TBrown are close to Danny but not to each other even though they're the ones who are likely to end up playing together, and I don't even know what you would do with Misha. (Ryanne and Julie are probably more like each other than either of them is like Misha.)

Terrible person plot bunny of the day: I would read a story where Danny and Sylvie decided to try being poly in some way (maybe in an open relationship way), and that didn't work out for them at all and they ended up divorced instead.

Today in I'm possibly a horrible person: I would read a story where Jeff had a threesome with the Hartnells, and then Lisa threw it in Scott's face during the divorce (a mix of "you liked fucking him more than fucking me" and "he's better in bed than you").

Every once in a while, I think about the fact that Megan doesn't keep her nails very long, and now I'm thinking about it in a Mike's issues story where he can't maintain a long term relationship. Megan's nails are short because Jeff likes it when she fingers him. She's okay with pegging him, because he totally loves it, but she's not that into it for herself. So it's kind of a relief when they hook up with Mike; he can fuck Jeff and Megan can get what she really wants too. And then, obviously, it becomes a stable, long term threesome.

I've been thinking about actual unrequited Bollig/Shaw fic. I don't know what else would happen in it, but Brandon goes over to have dinner with Andy and Chaunette sometimes. It kind of kills him, but he'd rather spend time with Andy and Chaunette being couply than not spend time with Andy at all.
They're all watching TV when Chaunette gets up to go to bed.
"I can go," Brandon says.
Chaunette smiles at him. "No, you all have the same weird schedules." She kisses Andy. "Good night."

They get drunk and hook up, and it's okay because they're drunk, but in the morning they're both grouchy about it. Fred joins them in the kitchen, and they confess to him that the sex is bad. Ciara raises her eyebrows.
"Once," Tyler says.

And Ciara's already met TBrown because she does some of the PTA kind of things with the school. She tells TSegs he's going to like TBrown, because she knows what he likes. [The real thing; she has toys.]) And then they go to parent-teacher night, and Segs is totally taken with TBrown. TBrown follows hockey, so he does know what Segs looks like. It's a little different in person, though. Ciara told Segs he was going to like Mr. Brown, but he didn't know Mr. Brown was going to look like that. He has stubble and he's wearing glasses and a suit, and Segs just wants him. (He's not the only one. There are a lot of single parents there.) He kind of gets distracted by that when Mr. Brown is telling them about how he teaches and whatever. Ciara totally knows what he's thinking and laughs at him, but she also makes sure he gets to meet Mr. Brown. Well, first he finds out Mr. Brown is also named Tyler, and then Mr. Brown says good things about his daughter. And then Segs beams at him and asks him if he likes hockey. Instead of pushing forward when he got cut from Junior C, TBrown decided hockey probably wasn't for him. But he likes hockey, and admits to following the Stars since he's in Dallas now.

Watching all of Jamie's goals over the summer just seemed like the right thing to do. Tyler didn't think he meant anything by it, but Jamie seems both surprised and pleased when he mentions it.
Jordie is going to have to watch this whole courtship from up close. He wants them to be happy, but he doesn't need to see it. He knows what Jamie is doing when he invites Tyler over for dinner, even if Jamie insists they're bonding with a new teammate.
They are ALWAYS smiling goofily at each other. Jordie starts referring to Tyler as "your boyfriend" when talking to Jamie. (He's just good enough a brother not to say it in front of Tyler. He knows they're not there yet.)
He comes home from a date and finds Jamie, Tyler, and Tyler's dog all cuddling on the couch watching a movie. Jordie just shakes his head and goes past them to the stairs. He hopes they'll eventually figure it out.
The worst is when other people want him to explain something about Jamie and Tyler since he's always around them. There isn't really a tactful way to say, "they're not dating yet but should be and that's how to understand them."
He is, unfortunately, in the kitchen with them cooking when they run into each other and giggle at each other for a moment. The giggling turns into goofy smiling, and Jordie doesn't want to interrupt, but he also doesn't want to witness this. Even though he turns his back to stir something, he can still hear the murmur of their voices and the sound of them kissing.
He is such a good brother that after dinner, he leaves to hang out with other people instead of kicking them out to Tyler's. Everything is quiet when he gets home. Marshall is asleep in the living room, and Tyler isn't.
He's not the least surprised when Tyler comes down for breakfast with Jamie. Wearing one of Jamie's shirts.
Jordie's still stuck witnessing their super sappy romance, but at least they know what they're doing now.
In the other version, Jordie raises his eyebrows at Jamie. "He's being good for you."
And Jamie is like, hmm, yeah. So then inviting Tyler over for dinner is about rewarding him for that. (And Jamie and Jordie share everything already, so of course he's going to share this sweet little sub with Jordie.) Sometimes they take turns. Sometimes they team up to dom him.
Tyler goes all pink-cheeked and smiley when Jamie praises him for having watched all his goals over the summer. Jordie praises him for it, and also asks if he watched any of Jordie's play.
"You're a D-man," Tyler says. "And what if I'm on the ice with you?" Jordie asks.
When Tyler comes over for dinner the next night, he says, "It's a lot harder to find your highlights."
"Did you watch any?" Jordie asks.
"All the ones I could find," Tyler says.
It's a little blatant, but Jordie reaches out and cups Tyler's cheek for a moment. "Good."
Tyler's cheek heats up under Jordie's hand. "I'm going to do my best here."
Jamie throws an arm around Tyler's shoulders. "We know you are. This is a good start."
There are cupcakes in the fridge that they get out after dinner as an extra reward for Tyler.

Brandi got into MMA when she figured out the best way she could play hockey was to be an enforcer. Knowing she can take down pretty much anyone means she doesn't have anything to prove, so she fights smart, thinks instead of just reacting. Andrew Shaw thinks he has more to prove than anyone Brandi has ever met. She's been waiting for him to realize he can prove some of that in her bed instead of on the ice. Brandi is a patient woman, but she's been waiting for so long she thinks she might have to say something instead of just hinting at it.

There should be a story where Sid gets custody of Taylor (maybe when he's only been in the NHL for a year or so). I really want a story where their parents die and they're trying to figure out what happens to Taylor now, and she very stubbornly says to Sid, "You're my only family now. I'm going with you," and the Lemieuxs say, "Of course the two of you can stay with us, and we'll take care of Taylor while you're on the road."

Someone should talk to me about human alpha Sidney Crosby. (I'm more than a little obsessed with werewolves with human alphas.) After Sid finds out about werewolves, the wolves on his team start hanging out with him in wolf form. Mostly they just hang out with each other and look at him for approval, but sometimes they nudge him for more direct approval. Geno likes to just flop down and ask for belly scritches, because he takes wolf form as an excuse to just act like a puppy. Gonch despairs of Geno because he's old enough to know better. Sid doesn't mind, though. The human-wolf language barrier is easier for him to navigate than the English-Russian one.

Danny's been underestimated his whole life, because he's small for a hockey player, because he tends to be quiet, because he's an omega. The only reason he even got to play in the NHL in the first place was that he was claimed.

I still vaguely want to write Danny/Sid fic. My story for that prompt would start with Sid meeting the kids after a game in Philly, because they want to meet him and he and Claude are friends now (because of Olympics stuff), so they have a good in to get to hang out with him. Then Danny invites him out to dinner when the Pens are in Montreal and thanks him for being willing to hang out with the kids. This would also get you some really great Claude being friends with both of them stuff.

I've been thinking about how Danny is superstitious, and now I really want Danny/Sid fic where everything is a ridiculous negotiation because they have to work around two sets of superstitions and routines. Possibly in a story where the Flyers buy out Danny's contract and he signs with the Pens. And it could be all serious about negotiation, but I would really want it to be a comedy.
Plus there's the additional complication of the kids, and they're kind of excited that their dad is friends with SIDNEY CROSBY and kind of suspicious because the Pens have been the enemy for so long. And then there's dealing with Claude's baffled annoyance. And it could be such a good screwball comedy.
In the screwball comedy, after Danny signs with the Pens, Sid calls him to welcome him to the team. He also says, "I don't really like living alone, and you don't seem to like living alone, and this is obviously a temporary situation for you, and I won't mind having your kids around when they come to visit, so do you want to move in with me?"
And then there would be both (a) blow jobs on the synthetic ice rink in the basement and (b) too many teenagers around if Taylor comes to visit when Danny's kids are also there (because if Taylor's hanging around at Sid's house, the Lemieux kids would also be there). And then they would realize that Sid's baby sister is just a little older than Danny's oldest kid, and that would bring home the age difference.
"It didn't bother you with Giroux," Sid yells.
"I wasn't sleeping with Claude," Danny yells back. And then they stare at each other in complete confusion.
In the Sid/Danny story I'm not writing, Sid has a Little Penguins thing to go to one day where he's going to be working with little kids. Danny isn't doing anything, so he asks if he can tag along. Sid warns him that everyone wears an 87 jersey so there's no fighting over it, and Danny looks at him for a minute, and then asks if Sid has an extra jersey he can wear. If everyone wears 87, he will too. Everyone else involved seems to find this amusing or charming, except for Claude, who is very unhappy about it.

Danny/Claude, Danny/Jeff V relationship fic would be set in summer 2010. Danny tells Carts about asking Claude to move in with him (possibly while they're either in bed or making out on the couch), "Not like that. I want it to be like that, but it isn't." And then Carts mocks him for his taste but also tells him to go for it.
"I don't know if he's into it."
Jeff rolls his eyes. "He worships you. I'm sure he'd suck your dick if you asked him to."

Today in Ruth is obsessed with people having babies: I want a girl!Danny&girl!Claude story where Claude gets pregnant. Claude says that of course she has to have the baby (because she's been raised Catholic), even though it means missing a season or most of one at least. She lives with Dani while she's pregnant. Her parents come down when it gets to be close to her due date. The night she goes into labor is a home game, and Dani's at the rink when Claude goes to the hospital with her parents. Claude is, obviously, totally freaked out about giving birth, and while her mom is being a good support, she really wants Dani there.
Dani shows up late, well after the game has to be over, and she harangues Claude for not calling her when she went into labor.
"You had a game," Claude says. "Did you win?"
Dani says, "Yes," and Claude smiles at her and then another contraction hits.
Claude cries when they get a lot closer together, and she says, "I can't do this."
"Of course you can," Dani says. "I did this three times before I was your age, and you're a hockey player. It's going to hurt more than anything else you've ever felt, and then you're going to fall in love more than you ever have, and someday you won't remember just how much this hurts. You can do this."
And then she does, and she cries again when they put her daughter into her arms, and Dani says, "I told you you could do it."
And then they live happily ever after with the two of them and a baby and the boys and hockey.
They don't even have to be romantically involved! I would read a version where they just live happily ever after in an implicitly, if not explicitly, feminist hockey commune with their hockey playing children.

Thinking about Claude and his leadership team: Kimmo's been around for a long time and he's technically the second in command, so Claude talks to him mostly about on the ice kinds of things. Scott is one of Claude's best friends, so they talk a lot about the personality things, team dynamics, that kind of thing, but mostly in a casual way when they're hanging out. Danny's his friend, but he's also his mentor, and he's been an NHL captain before, so Claude talks to him about the more difficult things and about how not to let being captain get to him.
Danny and Claude have lunch at least once a week. It's not like they'll stop being friends if they don't, but it's good to stay connected, and have some time to hang out. Being captain takes a lot more time than Claude really thought it would.
"I need a favor," Claude says over lunch.
"A favor?"
"I need your house."
Danny laughs. "My house?"
"I want to have a thing for the guys, with their families and everything. My place isn't big enough and you have the backyard so all the kids can run around. I'll do everything, take care of the food and clean up after, all of that stuff, I just need a place to have it."
Danny smiles at him, and it's the same smile he gives the boys when they do something good. "I think that's a great idea. Of course you can use the house."

I would be so into the dynamics of the six of them - Ryanne is much younger than everyone else, both Claude and TBrown are close to Danny but not to each other even though they're the ones who are likely to end up playing together, and I don't even know what you would do with Misha. (Ryanne and Julie are probably more like each other than either of them is like Misha.)

Terrible person plot bunny of the day: I would read a story where Danny and Sylvie decided to try being poly in some way (maybe in an open relationship way), and that didn't work out for them at all and they ended up divorced instead.

Every once in a while, I think about the fact that Megan doesn't keep her nails very long, and now I'm thinking about it in a Mike's issues story where he can't maintain a long term relationship. Megan's nails are short because Jeff likes it when she fingers him. She's okay with pegging him, because he totally loves it, but she's not that into it for herself. So it's kind of a relief when they hook up with Mike; he can fuck Jeff and Megan can get what she really wants too. And then, obviously, it becomes a stable, long term threesome.

I've been thinking about actual unrequited Bollig/Shaw fic. I don't know what else would happen in it, but Brandon goes over to have dinner with Andy and Chaunette sometimes. It kind of kills him, but he'd rather spend time with Andy and Chaunette being couply than not spend time with Andy at all.
They're all watching TV when Chaunette gets up to go to bed.
"I can go," Brandon says.
Chaunette smiles at him. "No, you all have the same weird schedules." She kisses Andy. "Good night."
Andy leans into her kiss. "Night, babe."
Once Chaunette's gone, Andy tips over to stretch out on the couch, dropping his head into Brandon's lap.
"Do you want me to scratch behind your ears?"
Andy flips him off, but he doesn't protest when Brandon runs his hands through his hair.

Today's obsessed with people getting pregnant story I'll never write:
Misha gets deployed and then finds out she's pregnant. She calls Danny to say, "I'm coming home."
"Why?" he asks. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, but they don't let pregnant women stay in war zones."
She's ambivalent about the pregnancy and having children, but Danny is not; he's completely excited about the whole thing.
And then they would work it out so that they have the baby but it's okay when Misha gets deployed because Danny (with the help of either his sister or a nanny) can take care of the baby.

They have a much more equal power dynamic.
