Confidential to [livejournal.com profile] sandydelaware. I was, apparently, way, way, way behind in the news of the world. I don't have your current e-mail address. Can you either e-mail me or leave a comment letting me know where I can write to you?

Gay marriage. Go read this. If you can't be bothered to click the link, here are the salient points:

The editorial board of the student newspaper at Baylor University (Baylor being an ultra conservative Christian university in Waco, Texas) voted 5-2 in favor of gay marriage. This is just one example of what polls are showing: gay marriage is no longer a political, ideological, or religious issue. It is now a generational issue. Younger people support it and older people don't.

Canadian, eh? Did you know that some San Francisco station runs Canadian news at 5pm on Fridays, if at no other time? I thought it was quite hilarious, although my mother could only make it through one story before she turned the radio off all together.

Fate is with me. We were in San Francisco the weekend before last, with my grandparents. (Which meant we stayed at the St. Francis--ultra-swanky--and ate at expensive but not necessarily good restaurants.) Just as I was thinking that I was going through Spike/Xander withdrawals (I'd been in the middle of a Spike/Xander reading spree), I turned on the TV to find Spike crying. It was only the last five minutes of an ep, but it soothed my fannish soul.

Speaking of. On said reading spree, I read a story wherein Xander talks about how his previous experience being naked in his own place didn't work out. He was, it seems, jerking off to cartoons when Willow came in, not because she had a key, but because his mother let her into the basement. Sky remembers reading the story, but, like me, can't remember what story it was. Sound familiar to any of you?
