I love the first version on its own - not that it wouldn't be great to see it fleshed out, but it's pretty perfectly formed as-is. My only quibble is that I like to think Danny would have mentioned before that he'd be happy to move with Claude, rather than watch him sweat (and lo! version 2!) *g*

I also love the idea of a no-we-just-really-want-to-play-together version, particularly if it came with the gut check of the serious prospect of one of them leaving and/or the thought: wait, why am I so set on playing with this guy? :DD
