Report on November:

I can't do NaNo. This is the third year I've let people talk me into it, and it's the third year I've failed miserably. All told, I wrote just under 15,000 words. Not only is that not great in terms of NaNo, I think it's less than I would write with my usual goals. It's not even that I can't write 50,000 words in a month. It's that I can't deal with having that kind of imposed goal.
  • Mondays through Thursdays: Write 1000 words of the novel and 500 words of other things (or the novel). - Did this three days and some three other days.

  • Fridays: Write 500 words of whatever I feel like. - Did some of this one day.

  • Weekends: Write 1000 words of the novel and 1250 words of other things (or the novel). - Did this two days and some four other days.

  • Finish editing the Leighton/Vicky-T story. (This has to happen because final drafts are due December 1.) - Check!

  • Write miscellaneous snippets as inspired. - Not so much.

  • Post one thing I'm thankful for every day from November 1 through Thanksgiving. - Check!

  • Say positive things on Twitter. - Not so much.
Goals for December:

I have to admit that, having finished my two large projects, I'm a little lost on this month's goals.
  • Write my Yuletide story.

  • Start editing book two.

  • Finish uploading all of my fic to AO3. (My goal is to do this before Yuletide reveals.)

  • Write miscellaneous snippets as inspired.

  • Say positive things on Twitter.

You still wrote more than I did, and I was the one who talked you in to signing up! Erin Morgenstern's essay about NaNo. (http://www.npr.org/2011/12/02/143048102/the-marvels-and-messes-of-a-month-of-writing)
