Report on June:
bandgirlsbang story and then not take on any large writing projects. When I say, "finish my
bandgirlsbang story," however, I don't necessarily mean I'm going to finish it for
bandgirlsbang. I hit 9,000 words last night, and I'm pretty sure it's not even half finished. I'm not sure I can write 10,000 or more words in ten days, even with a three-day weekend. We'll see.
Once that's done, I'm going to up my daily word count on the novel and focus on that and editing things that are already done, although the editing is coming off of my goals list for this month because I'd rather not do it than set myself up to fail month after month after month. I will, of course, keep writing other miscellaneous bits, because that's not something I could stop doing even if I tried.
Goals for July:
- 200 words per day during the week and 300 words per day on weekends of the novel. There were two days I didn't do any work on the novel and one day when I didn't quite make it to my goal, but I made it the rest of the month.
- 300 words per day of my
bandgirlsbang story. Somewhere in the middle of the month I updated this to 300 words per day during the week and 500 words per day on weekends. There were, I think, three days I didn't do any work on this and maybe one when I didn't meet the goal. Otherwise, it's going strong.
- Edit the accidental marriage fic. Didn't happen.
- Rewrite the last scene of the Mike/Kevin story. Didn't happen.
- Work on at least one thing for my bingo card. According to Google Docs, I worked on one of these on June 16, so this happened.
- Edit the girl!Andy and Matt slept together once story. Didn't happen.
- Write miscellaneous snippets as inspired. Check!
- Say positive things on Twitter. I really was not good about this one. For most of the month at least my negative things were about the writing issues in things I'd been reading, but then there was some whining too.
