Today, I'm thankful for my friends. I was going to make this generic, but one of my friends said he should get a whole post in and of himself, so here are a few shout-outs, as the kids say (Or do they? I'm not really up on current slang.). (I put these in alphabetical order. I had several other ideas, but they were too complicated.)

[livejournal.com profile] allegram - The person I've been friends with the longest - 18 years! We went bridesmaid dress shopping today, and had a blast.

[livejournal.com profile] amatia - The person I can talk to about everything, from writing to recipes, from emotional upheaval to TMI, and everything that may fall between or around any of those topics.

[livejournal.com profile] archivecats - The Di-Phi person/friend from college I've kept in real touch with over the years.

Brad - When I refer to "the boys," it always includes him. He's the person I've been friends with the second longest (17 years), and the person I spend more social time with than anyone else. I already mentioned how thankful I am for our continued writing group.

[livejournal.com profile] dedalvs - [livejournal.com profile] allegram's fiance, and I'm so glad to know him and to welcome him to our extended family.

[livejournal.com profile] fuseji - Usually the other half (in the sense of one out of two, not in the sense of partnered) of "the boys" ("usually" because "the boys" has referred to varying groups throughout the years). Funny, fannish (despite the occasional denial), and even thoughtful and insightful. He's also the third piece of our writing group.

Sarah - Quirky and amazingly open to discussions of things of a very personal nature.

[livejournal.com profile] schuyler - A wonderful person I had the fortune to meet through fandom. She is my favorite commentator on all things pop culture, and today I especially appreciate her ability to always come up with character names when I need them.
