Kink Fic Rec: Day 16

Today's rec is the Chains series by Diana Williams (I told you you'd see her again). This is an old-school X-Files Mulder/Skinner BDSM club story. I don't think it's really complete, but each story in the series holds together on its own. I have to admit that after a while, I started getting bored with Mulder and Skinner in "Chains of Desire" and preferred Sean and Mason (the original characters who own/run the club) in the "Forging the Chains" prequel, and was sad that story never got to the point where they get together. Anyway, the point here is the kink, and since it's a BDSM club story, there's a fair amount of that. The thing I most remember is Skinner tying Mulder's thumbs to a pushpin with a piece of thread and saying he'll stop if the thread breaks. One of the things I've been thinking of in reading a bunch of these kinds of stories is how expensive they all portray BDSM to be. I think what stayed with me about the thread was how simple and inexpensive it was. (Of course, I'll have to laugh if one of you reads it and finds I'm remembering this from a completely different story.)
